The mansion is about 700 meters away from the coast and is surrounded by slums and narrow fencing roads. It is a private residence in South Mumbai, India owned by the business tycoon and the owner of the Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani .
The construction of this skyscraper started in 2006 and it took almost four years to complete it. In 2010 the house was completed and on February 5, 2010, the luxurious mansion was finally declared open.
It was also discovered that the Antilia house was named after a Phantom Island Antellia which was believed to be in the Atlantic Ocean.
The house consists of 27 floors with extra high ceiling. These extra high ceilings consist of a height of two floors that means as compared to a normal building, which makes the house have the height of a 60 floored building. It is an earthquake proof building which can survive earthquake up to the rating of eight.
The whole house is so unique that even two floors of the house are not same. From the materials to the designing, everything is differently used on every floor. Antilia house has dedicated its 6th floor for parking of cars and can accommodate up to 168 cars.
However, Ambani also has his own private car service station on the 7th floor of his house with three helipads at the top of the house. The lobby alone consists of nine elevators.
