Portable, a budding artist, has promised to "murder" anyone wins The Headies award in the categories for which he was nominated.
The organisers of the award announced the nominees for this year’s edition on Tuesday.
The 'Zazuu Zeh' singer received two nominations in the categories of 'Rookie of the Year' and 'Best Street-Hop Artiste.'
He'll be up against Av, Fave, Magixx, and Ugoccie in the 'Rookie of the Year' category.
Portable will compete in the second category alongside Bella Shmurda, Mohbad, Naira Marley, and Goya Menor, among others.
The artist, however, stated in a video posted to his Instagram page on Wednesday that the other candidates are no match for him because his song is well-known internationally.
"I'm grateful to Headies for nominating me for best street-hop artiste of the year. "Who wants to look at me?" Portable enquired.
"I still have the title of rookie of the year." Who hasn't heard of Zazuu? Who doesn't know my song in Aboki, Hausa, or Igbo? Even people in other countries pay attention to me.
"I own all of those awards." I'll beg whomever gives such prizes to assassinate the person who isn't me. I'll just request that they murder you.
"Give to Caeser what belongs to him." Please present me with my prize. If you give my reward to someone else, you shall perish."
