Bunmi Ipinnaiye, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ponyan Ward, Yagba East Local Government Area, Kogi State, is said to have committed suicide in a Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps cell.
Men from the NSCDC apprehended Ipinnaiye for the attempted murder of his son, who was claimed to be fraternizing with several youths involved in social vices.
Our Reporter learned that the dead assaulted his son with a machete on their trip to the property, and that the incident was reported to the Civil Defense, leading to his detention.
