Ladi Adebutu has been recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the legitimate Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for governor of Ogun State.
Adebutu won all of the Supreme Court cases brought against him, and INEC pronounced him the legitimate candidate.
Earlier, Emmanuel Ojo, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on New Media, asserted that the PDP didn't have a candidate for governor of Ogun State.
According to the INEC list, Ogun PDP does not have a governorship candidate, Ojo claimed on several social media platforms. When it comes time to vote, don't waste it. Elect the APC.
However, Ojo's assertion was rejected by Niyi Ijalaye, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Ogun State, who labeled it as unsubstantiated and incorrect.
There is no truth to the rumor,Ijalaye remarked.
He insisted that Adebutu would run for governor of Ogun State on the PDP ticket and take part in the election on March 18.Recall that Segun Showunmi and Adebutu have teamed together once more to support the PDP in the upcoming election.
The latest Supreme Court case Jimi Lawal filed was dismissed on Thursday,
According to reports, Lawal and several of his supporters joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
