In response to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu's announcement as the winner of the 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Election Commission, INEC, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, said he has no beef with the president-elect.
This was said by Obi during a Monday interview on Arise TV.
I have no problems with Tinubu, he declared. He is a man who I really respect as a brother and hold in high regard as a parent.
"I'm merely questioning the manner in which INEC announced him as the winner of the presidency. I have no objections to his announcement of himself as the next president.
Obi urged the electoral body to accept the duty of assisting Nigeria in creating a respectable international image.
"We're dedicated to creating a new Nigeria. Anything that is right must be done by ourselves.
He declared, "We need to create powerful democratic institutions that will instruct individuals on what is expected of them in the workplace and what government is all about.
