Nigerian Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been in the news recently, following the Supreme Court's ruling that upheld his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke's victory in the 2022 Osun State governorship election. The young singer and songwriter took to his Twitter account to express his excitement over the ruling and promised that they would continue to shock their detractors.

Davido is a well-known Nigerian musician and one of the biggest names in the Afrobeats genre. He has won several awards, including Best International Act at the BET Awards and Artist of the Year at the Headies. Davido is not just known for his music, but also for his outspokenness and activism, which have endeared him to many Nigerians.

The Adeleke family has been in the spotlight in recent years due to their involvement in Nigerian politics. Ademola Adeleke, Davido's uncle, was elected as the governor of Osun State in 2022. However, his victory was challenged by his opponent, Gboyega Oyetola, who claimed that the election was marred by irregularities.

After a series of legal battles that lasted for almost two years, the Supreme Court finally delivered its verdict, upholding Adeleke's victory. Davido, who had been supporting his uncle throughout the legal battles, was elated by the ruling and took to his Twitter account to express his joy.

In his tweet, Davido wrote, "We go Dey shock dem like high tension!! @AAdeleke_01." The tweet, which has since gone viral, was a reference to a popular Nigerian slogan used to express surprise and disbelief. Davido's use of the phrase showed that he was not only excited about the ruling but also confident that they would continue to shock their detractors.

Before the ruling, Davido had been very vocal about his support for his uncle, and he had taken to social media to seek God's intervention in the court case. He had also expressed confidence that they would emerge victorious, and his latest tweet was a validation of his faith.

Hours before the ruling was delivered, Senator Adeleke had also expressed his faith in God, writing, "God is going to win today." Davido replied, "Amen unc. we got this!" The exchange showed the close relationship between the singer and his uncle and their shared faith in God.

Davido's support for his uncle is not surprising, given the Adeleke family's influence in Nigerian politics. However, his activism and outspokenness have made him a role model
