ASUU-EKSU opposes management and claims that its members will not resume academic activities.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has expressed dissatisfaction with the university administration's decision to resume academic activities.

On Monday, the institution instructed students and employees to return on May 24 for the start of the 2020/2021 academic year. However, ASUU distanced itself from the resume date, claiming that lecturers were part of a countrywide strike called by the union's national body and that they would not be willing to relinquish the cause unless the strike was stopped.

According to BEVIBESHUB, a joint statement signed by ASUU Chairman Kayode Arogundade and Secretary Olawale Ogunwale advised members to reject the notice of resumption and completely follow with the national body's demands.
